What Is the Fresh Fragrance Accord?

A fresh accord usually smells bright, clean and light, but there is no single fresh smell. Citrus can make it zesty, mint can add a cooling quality, green notes can suggest leaves and stems, and marine materials can make it feel watery or breezy. Crisp fruit can bring a juicy type of freshness without making the accord heavily sweet. This means two perfumes can both contain a Fresh accord while smelling very different from one another.

What Does the Fresh Accord Smell Like?

Freshness in perfume can come from several directions. Lemon, bergamot and grapefruit create a sharp, sparkling form of freshness. Mint gives a cooler sensation, while violet leaf and other green effects can suggest crushed leaves or fresh vegetation. Marine notes make the composition more watery and open, and crisp apple can introduce a clean fruity quality.

The surrounding fragrance also changes how a Fresh accord feels. Woods can give it structure, florals can make it softer, and spices can add energy without removing the fresh impression. It is also important to separate a Fresh accord from Luxaro's Fresh & Bright fragrance family.
