Quince comes from Cydonia oblonga, a fruit tree cultivated across Europe, western Asia and other temperate regions. In perfume, quince is usually reconstructed from apple, pear, citrus, green and floral fragrance materials because the fresh fruit is not a standard source of perfume oil.
